A Phrase That Stuck.
Way Gooder Vibes started with a quick laugh, a phrase that stuck, and the belief that even serious moments could use a little lighter energy.
Where It Started
It Started in a Classroom.
While serving as an instructor at a Marine Corps military occupational school at Camp Pendleton, I would occasionally say “way gooder” in class when things were getting a little too serious.
It usually got a laugh, brought everyone’s attention back into the room, and helped reset the energy.
I wasn’t trying to create a slogan. I definitely wasn’t thinking about starting a brand. It was just one of those phrases that became part of the room—and somehow stayed with me.
The Journey
From Brooklyn to the Coast.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, shaped by the Marine Corps, and spent much of my adult life near the water—from the California coast to Hawaii.
Those years taught me a lot about discipline, community, and showing up for the people around you. They also reminded me that life can’t be serious all the time.
Eventually, I wanted to create something that carried those lessons forward without feeling heavy. Something comfortable, honest, and made for real life. That became Way Gooder Vibes.

“Way gooder” may not be proper English, but it captures a feeling better than perfect grammar ever could. It’s the beach walk after a long week, coffee with good people, a slow Sunday, or a road trip without much of a plan. Just the everyday moments that make life feel a little lighter.
